We have wood lathes in the wood workshop that we can use as an entry to woodturning - if a community of turning enthusiasts develops and the machines becomes too weak for more ambitious projects, we'll have to think about replacing them with a professional model.

We have got another wood lathe, which needs some documentation before it can actually be used.
SAFETY NOTE: Make sure you familiarize yourself with the on/off switch before use! The control box swivels and can move away from you if you push the button, be prepared for that!

Speed Selection
The D 460F has an electronic speed selection which is regulated by a potentiometer (without scale!) above the on/off switch.
Upgrades/Improvements
Ideas:
- it would be nice to fix the control box more properly - this should be coordinated with Micha Ba. who is the machine's owner!
- get/make a faceplate and a drive center for more workholding flexibility
