Wrenches are normally used to fasten hex-head screws or to hold nuts in place when fastening a screw with another wrench or screwdriver.

For the popular bit based tool please have a look at our socket wrench.

Combination Wrenches

Combination Wrenches

Combination wrenches.JPG
Synonyms: open-ring spanners, combination spanners;
DE: Ring-Maulschlüssel, "Maul-Ringschlüssel"
Type: hand tool
Material: screws, nuts
Location: wood workshop, metal workshop
Access Requirements: read this section
Similar (More or Less): adjustable wrenches, socket wrenches,
open-end wrenches

Combination wrenches are open on one side and have an angled ring with a double-hex profile on the other side that can improve the grip on hex head screws and nuts. This ring also allows interlocking two of them (or one with something else, see photo) for a longer lever.

the "ring" side can be useful to increase the length of a lever, e.g. as necessary to move a rusty thread

Our current selection includes:

  • 6 mm
  • 7 mm
  • 8 mm (2x)
  • 9 mm (2x)
  • 10 mm (2x)
  • 11 mm
  • 12 mm (2x)
  • 13 mm (2x)
