Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) is the term for controlling machines by computers. Some examples are computer controlled milling machines, 3D printers, laser or plasma cutters and automatic embroidery machines.
CNC requires CAD (Computer Aided Design) files as instructions. Suitable software to prepare your projects with can be found on the individual machine pages or the design category.
