There are different kinds of scissors that can be used for their respective materials. When you use the scissors please but them back to the place you took them from once you're done so they continue being used for their specific purpose.

Scissors for neatly cutting paper and colored card.

Please use our shop scissors or a box cutter for the more heavy-duty jobs, or a paper cutter if you're aiming for precision.

Shop scissors are designated for rougher cutting jobs than the other scissors' intended range. Use them in the workshop where you think it makes sense, but keep in mind we also have snips and diagonal pliers for working with thin metal!

If you use them to cut adhesive tape, please remember to clean them for the next user!

Thread snips (Fadenscheren) are used to cut the leftover thread at the start and end of stiches, or to cut thread only. These scissors should not be used for materials other than thread.
