A scriber is a sharp steel pin used to scratch lines and other fine markings into metal. If you just want to mark a spot, use a center punch for best results.

Please do not abuse this tool trying to put visible scratches into wood or stone but use a more appropriately sized scratching awl.

the angled tip is pretty useful for pushing scraps out of laser cut holes
