Demonstration

The tutor will show you these steps in detail:

Preparation

  • Check the collection box is clean, otherwise remove any dust and small bits with a damp cloth
  • Check the shredder is clean
  • Put the box under the shredder

Shredding

  • Close the hopper
  • Start the shredder motor
  • If needed, gently push material down the hopper (with a stick, not your hand!)

Cleanup

  • Turn off the motor
  • If you shredded more than you need, please share with the others! Make sure to select the right storage box for your material (plastic type and approximate color)
  • Clean the hopper
  • Clean the shredder blades
  • Clean the collection box, making sure to get all the small bits out (a damp cloth should help)
