We won't get a cutting plotter in the near future, but you should check out "RaumZeitLabor" in Mannheim where they have such a machine, it's worth the trip for many other reasons as well!
A cutting plotter cuts foil (e.g. PVC) that is not allowed in the laser cutter. Among common uses are fancily shaped stickers or custom T-shirt designs.
