This is the content required for an introduction to our Plastic Shredder - reading this does NOT replace the mandatory session with a tutor! It will make it a lot quicker though ;-)

Safety

Personal protection:

Dangers	Precautions
rotating blades	The blade motor will automatically stop when the hopper is not closed. Test this feature each time before you start working! You MUST wear eye protection when operating the machine You MUST NOT wear gloves You MUST NOT stick any body parts into the hopper
flying bits of plastic	You MUST wear eye protection in case something gets out past the cover.

Demonstration

The tutor will show you these steps in detail:

Preparation

Select the right box for your material
Check the shredder is clean
Put the box under the shredder

Shredding

Close the hopper
Start the shredder motor
Push material down the hopper in case it is needed

Cleanup

Turn off the motor

Clean the hopper
Clean the shredder blades
