Safety

Demonstration
The tutor will show you these steps in detail:
Preparation
- Check the collection box is clean, otherwise remove any dust and small bits with a damp cloth
- Check the shredder is clean
- Put the box under the shredder
Shredding
- Close the hopper
- Start the shredder motor
- If needed, gently push material down the hopper (with a stick, not your hand!)
Cleanup
- Turn off the motor
- If you shredded more than you need, please share with the others! Make sure to select the right storage box for your material (plastic type and approximate color)
- Clean the hopper
- Clean the shredder blades
- Clean the collection box, making sure to get all the small bits out (a damp cloth should help)
