Some ideas for woodturning projects - feel free to add more, and please share photos and experiences if you've tried something :-)
Projects by our members:
baby rattle with captive rings
rolling pins, e.g. Indian style
further inspiration:
- oval tool handles, e.g. hammer handles
- candle holders
- workpiece protecting cups for F-clamps
- pens (hardware kits are available in many stores)
- bowls (for advanced turners - difficult due to changing grain directions!)
- here's an introduction to bowl turning basics
- nutcracker bowl (should also be possible on the CNC router)
- lathe & workholding accessories
- wooden collet (Spannzange) to protect delicate surfaces
- "smart" target diameter indicator
- lathe-mounted sanding drum
- what would YOU like to turn?
