Not to be driven with hammers or heavy mallets!
We have 12 carving chisels in different shapes. Their wall holder is a reclaimed carved cabinet door that hangs on the wall near the common room door.
Idea: Carving Hook
We have not had enough carving projects so far to justify buying special vises, but you can easily make a "carving hook" yourself!
You simply need to put slats under two neighboring sides of a board and two on top of the other sides. It should then hook onto any table's corner and hold the workpiece in its top corner, even better if the slats are angled inward a little. [1]
