Needles 1 or 2; HA × 1 No. 11–14 or 130/705 No. 75–90
Stitch length 1–4 mm
Seam width Right needle: 3.0–4.5 mm; left needle: 5.2–6.7 mm

Threading

For a complete 4-thread setup, thread the machine in this order:

  1. upper looper — red
  2. lower looper — yellow
  3. right needle — green
  4. left needle — blue

Refer to the manual (page 10, if you need to thread from scratch, page 17, if you need to change once specific thread). A visual explanation can be found on YouTube.

Basic use

  1. Extend the thread stand fully and fit the waste container.
  2. Check the threading, needle position, knife position and selected settings.
  3. Make a test seam on a scrap of the same fabric. Adjust one setting at a time using the tables in the manual.
  4. Lower the presser foot and guide the fabric edge towards the knife. Let the feed dogs move the fabric.
  5. At the end of the seam, continue sewing until a thread chain of approximately 5 cm has formed.
  6. Switch off the machine and remove fabric scraps and loose threads.

Cleaning and maintenance

Unplug the machine before cleaning or maintenance.

  • Regularly remove lint and fabric scraps from the looper and knife area with the supplied brush.
  • Wipe the exterior with a slightly damp cloth.
  • Lubricate only the points shown in the manual and use sewing-machine oil only.
  • Stop using the machine and report the problem if a needle or knife is damaged, the machine jams or it no longer cuts cleanly.
