Backsaws

Backsaws (Rückensägen) are woodworking hand saws with a stiff "back" strengthening the blade while limiting the achievable cutting depth.
They are commonly used in joinery.

Tenon saws are relatively large backsaws. As you may have guessed, they're good for cutting tenons!
