Engineered woods (a.k.a. sheet goods; DE: Holzwerkstoffe) are manmade materials that overcome some limitations of wood while (usually) trying to maintain its look or other desirable properties - for example, engineered panels may be much wider than a tree or less prone to warp or break than a solid piece.

For natural woods and techniques that may apply to certain engineered woods, see Material:Wood.
