|Synonyms:||oriented strand board, flakeboard;|
|Suggested Tools:||same as for wood|
|Contains:||wood flakes, binder|
|Similar (More or Less):||particle board|
Oriented strand board features a very rough "construction site" look but is pretty cheap and strong.
Depending on the binder used, harmful chemicals may gas off this material over time so it may not be the best choice for furniture items.
Due to its high binder content, OSB is not particularly well suited for wood glue.
