Paperboard (DE: Pappe), often also called cardboard, is a general term for very thick paper products. While having the surface properties of paper, some tools that are suitable for paper may not be strong enough for paperboard and many uses of paperboard would completely destroy thinner paper.
|Synonyms:||corrugated cardboard; DE: Wellpappe|
|Suggested Tools:||box cutters, laser cutter|
|Contains:||wood pulp, some glue|
One of the most common kinds of paperboard is reinforced a wavy layer and is called corrugated fiberboard. As it is readily available (just go through the Hauptstraße on a recycling day...), it offers itself as a cheap but sturdy material for creating layered 3D models with a laser cutter.
