"Example" PPE?
What do you mean by "Example" in the table of suitable PPE? --Lukas (talk) 23:35, 8 April 2020 (CEST)
They still have to be filled with something meaningful. "Example" is a relic from the table generator. --Luzian
I have changed the table of PPE. Please review my changes and get back to me with feedback :) --NitramLegov (talk) 20:56, 13 April 2020 (CEST)
Forbidden Ear Protection?
Why is Hearing Protection forbidden for wet stone grinding? So far, we have recommended it depending on the type of material you are grinding.
For me, forbidding PPE does only make sense in case the PPE adds additional dangers (like gloves when using the drill press).
In my opinion, protecting yourself is more important than "hearing when something goes wrong". Therefore, I would change "forbidden" to "optional" here and remove the statement in the wet stone grinding section
That seams fair. I never had the need to wear HP but it might be useful if some one else is making a lot of noise or your workload dose. Most people don't wear HP even if it gets a little bit louder.
