A pegboard can be used to store things on a wall in a rather flexible fashion. It basically is just a sheet of metal or wood with holes, mounted with some distance to the wall with spacers. There are different types of pegboardd, each with a variety of imaginable holders that attach to the holes.
Our current pegboards:
3D Printing is very suitable to create custom pegboard holders, for example using "Pegboard Wizard" for US style pegboard (1/4 inch holes, 1 inch spacing).
