* '''Hot metal corner''': Shielding the space from the UV light. works for hot stuff, but Arc Welding is not approved because the curtains are missing. brackets are on the steel beam, so we can hang stuff, but need to finalize stuff. Luzian: Viable topic on one day. Needs plans before the DSD. Need to check with the wiki re: safety measures and introduction. Lukas: We mainly need a curtain that closes the area off, does not need to be complicated just foolproof and stable.

** Lukas: please make sure it is size-limited, e.g. like the scrap metal box: pieces that are too small fall out, pieces that are too large and would overflow the available area should not fit in

* Storage shelves for cubic meters in the "storage hallway". DIY is to dangerous for heavy stuff. We need to find the stuff before.

** Lukas: keep in mind that we don't need much (some members need full unobstructed height, only a small part of the area is still open for new takers). Should look at 4 to 6 to maybe 8 meters. Ebay etc. are problematic for "official" space purchases, but there are members (including myself) who might buy suitable suggestions and donate them

New Supervisor: Sebastian

Sebastian Timmer is now part of the supervisor team. Thank you for helping out!

New Plenum Frequency

I'd like to reduce the frequency of the plenum. Let's discuss sensible options.

Frequency is changing, start e.g. quarterly , and then go from there, Additionally start list early

Additional com channels like slack alleviate the urgency

Do Something Day

We created a new place to store leftover wood and cleaned up the place in general. The wood is stored based on thickness for easier access. Please use accordingly and measure your pieces before storing them!

We are also looking for new ideas for the next DSD. Anything comes to mind?

  • Tool storage bar for the wood lathe area: https://github.com/comakingspace/do-something/issues/257
  • paint walls in specifically bad areas (near CNC router and scroll saw)
    • Need to check on case by case basis for funds - but perhaps there are enough members with unused paint in their basements?
      • Andreas R: white paint (10 m²)
      • Hanna W.: large bucket of dark turquoise paint available (8 square meters)
  • Create more branding/artwork inside the space for video clips that are recorded here. Possibly stencils?
    • Utis is/was interested in doing Graffiti
  • Hot metal corner: Shielding the space from the UV light. works for hot stuff, but Arc Welding is not approved because the curtains are missing. brackets are on the steel beam, so we can hang stuff, but need to finalize stuff. Luzian: Viable topic on one day. Needs plans before the DSD. Need to check with the wiki re: safety measures and introduction. Lukas: We mainly need a curtain that closes the area off, does not need to be complicated just foolproof and stable.
  • Tiny version of wood storage for laser material, close to the laser cutter.
    • Lukas: please make sure it is size-limited, e.g. like the scrap metal stand: pieces that are too small could fall out the sides (difficult with sheets), pieces that are too large and would overflow the available area should not fit in
  • Storage shelves for cubic meters in the "storage hallway". DIY is to dangerous for heavy stuff. We need to find the stuff before.
    • Lukas: keep in mind that we don't need much (some members need full unobstructed height, only a small part of the area is still open for new takers). Should look at 4 to 6 to maybe 8 meters. Ebay etc. are problematic for "official" space purchases, but there are members (including myself) who might buy suitable suggestions and donate them
  • Sebastian is happy to do DSD end of Feb, beginning of March
  • Todo: Find good multi-people-project (survey)

New Tools

Through Betterplace-Donations, we could buy a new angle grinder and a new compact handheld drill (Both are battery powered. Please keep the tools safe and shiny.

Other suggestions for betterplace (survey):

Cargo Bike

We have a new Cargo Bike! You can use it to get/bring stuff from and to the CoMakingSpace. Please do not borrow it overnight.

Workshop Cooperations

We planned some workshop ideas for the new Tor 4 round but were unable to submit in time. We can organize the workshops ourselves, but could to to enlist help from other companies/organisations for funding. Example. Kulturfenster for activities for kids during workshops for adults. Need to wait until COVID cases are down.

Luzian is planning this.

Sebastian: Collaboration can bring participants and potential members. Possibly do workshops elsewhere.

Ciaran: Let's try to get slotted in early for the next round of Kulturfenster.

Lukas: Make sure we raise interest in the Space in general (besides the specific event) but avoid expectations of it normally being a place for children.
