Canon Raw 2
|Type:||raw camera image data|
|Software:||most image editing software:|
e.g. GIMP, Adobe Photoshop,
Adobe Lightroom and Darktable
|Machines:||digital cameras, e.g. DSLR|
The RAW format is supported in many digital cameras as it allows for capturing the uncompressed or unedited image data from the sensor. If you plan to edit your images afterwards, saving them as RAW is recommended due to its higher dynamic range and color reproduction. The disadvantage is that without manual editing the images look dull straight from the camera.
An 18 megapixel image is around 25 MB in size.
