Brewing Coffee

  1. Fill the water tank with as many cups of cold water as you want to prepare
  2. Fold the 1x4 filter paper at the lower seam and place it into the filter funnel
  3. Fill the filter paper with coffee powder (~ 2 teaspoon per cup)
  4. Switch on the machine
  5. wait for 10-15 minutes
  6. Remove pot when water stops flowing into the filter.
  7. Switch off the machine

Descaling Notes

  • Use only citric acid-based descaler. Follow recommended instructions.
  • Boil and discard fresh water four times after descaling.
  • Descale when brewing time increases substantially.

General Notes

  • The water tank and the filter holder can be removed for easier filling and cleaning.
  • Bring your own coffee grounds. (Left-over grounds might exist in an unknown cupboard from an unknown date)
  • The coffeemaker is provided with a drip stop. When you remove the pot it prevents water dripping onto the base. If water remains in the tank it will be pumped into the filter where it can overflow.

Brewing Coffee

  1. Boil Water. While you wait for the electric kettle you can already prepare the next steps.
  2. Fold a 1x4 filter paper at the lower seam.
  3. Place it in the filter holder.
  4. Fill the filter with coffee grounds (~ 2 teaspoon per cup).
  5. Place filter holder on your vessel of choice.
  6. Make sure that everything stands firmly and that you have enough space for manoeuvring the electric kettle.
  7. Gently pour boiling hot water on the ground coffee.
  8. Repeat step 7 until you have enough coffee or your vessel is full.

Tips for Hand Brewing Coffee

  • If you pour the water too vigorously, the coffee grounds will float resulting in uneven extraction.
