A bicycle's bottom bracket (Tretlager) can be removed, installed or serviced by (un)screwing its cups (Lagerschalen) with specialized tools depending on its brand/type.

Bottom bracket tools may come with a handle or are used in combination with a suitable socket wrench.

You will need to remove the cranks with a crank puller before you can access the bottom bracket!

  • Function: Serves the exact same primary function as the black tool, acting as a workshop socket for 20-tooth splined Shimano and ISIS Drive cartridge bottom bracket cups.
