Biscuits are used to keep wooden boards from shifting during a glue-up. Especially with large panels, this task would otherwise require a lot of (specialized) [[clamps]]!


They come in three sizes - "0", "10" and "20".
Three sizes (numbers sometimes preceeded by "No." or "P") are commonly available:
* 0: 45 mm long
* 10: 55 mm long
* 20: 60 mm long
 
Grooves for all of these sizes can be cut with the [[Biscuit Joiner|biscuit joiner]] by adjusting the cut depth accordingly. The dial also shows a size "M", please add information about these biscuits if you do come across them!
