For anyone interested in animation, contact Ciaran to join in.
We are kicking off with three animation projects - so there's something for everyone (...just come along and add some experience, ideas or even just some energy, the more the merrier!).
The concept here is to jump in and try and get some experience across the board with some quick and dirty projects.
Here are the general concepts - which are open to change depending on your ideas.
Animation Project 1:
"The Longest Spider Story Ever"
Traditional Animation
This is our old school animation project where the animation is built from a series of individual drawings. Each drawing differs slightly from the previous one, where the differences are used to develop the illusion of movement. For this project we will do a lot of sketching and drawing. Maybe a bit of colouring in. Maybe a lot of it. But it should be lot's of fun anyway.
There will also be a bit of making... We will design and build a simple Light Box which can be used to help with getting the transitions right between drawings.
Animation Project 2:
"Worm War One"
Stop Motion Animation
Using clay and some other materials we will make armies of worms and then animate some apocalyptic stop motion mayhem. No real worms will be harmed in this production.
There might also be some room for a bit of extra making... We could design and build some camera and lighting rigs to get consistency in our production. Or maybe not.
Animation Project 3:
"Attack of the Zombie Eye Ball of Death"
3D Animation with Blender
Ok. So maybe it's just yet another bouncing ball animation... but with green blood, guts and brains to keep it interesting.
Get Involved!!!
If you would like to get involved, whether you have experience in the field, or just an interest, please contact Ciaran and he will hook you in.
