Biscuits are used to keep wooden boards from shifting during a glue-up. Especially with large panels, this task would otherwise require a lot of (specialized) clamps!

Three sizes (numbers sometimes preceeded by "No." or "P") are commonly available:

  • 0: 45 mm long
  • 10: 55 mm long
  • 20: 60 mm long

Grooves for all of these sizes can be cut with the biscuit joiner by adjusting the cut depth accordingly. The dial also shows a size "M", please add information about these biscuits if you do come across them!
