A pegboard can be used to store things on a wall in a rather flexible fashion. It basically is just a sheet of metal or wood with holes, mounted with some distance to the wall with spacers. There are different types of holders that attach to the holes. The default US pegboard hole size is 1/4 inch at 1 inch spacing in both directions.
For example, we use a pegboard to hold the small stuff in our CNC room (please add a photo here).
3D Printing is very suitable to create custom pegboard holders, for example using

- base peg design by Devin Montes (Make Anything) to add your custom holder to it
