One more thought ;-) The orientation of the workpiece in panel 3 might be a bit confusing, as the rectangular board is depicted lying flat although it ''would'' have to be fed through the planer on its narrow edge. I get that it is drawn this way as that is how it goes over the table saw, but maybe we could label side 3 in the small cross-sections on the left? i.e. the top picture (square, to be planed) would have the "3" at the top while the bottom picture would have it on the left side. Does that make sense? --[[User:Lukas|Lukas]] ([[User talk:Lukas|talk]]) 00:18, 23 October 2020 (CEST)

Grain Direction

The direction of the boards in this diagram should be mirrored ( || ), could you please switch them around or upload an editable version? The current depiction lets the blades run against the grain, as in the first panel of this illustration.

I also had some trouble recognizing the table saw in fig. 3, maybe that one could use the sawblade from our logo and/or get a little "TS" added to it? :-) --Lukas (talk) 21:10, 22 October 2020 (CEST)

The grains were not meant as a cutting direction indication, but rather as "this is wood...". I removed them and made the block a different colour instead.
I don't see the how the other saw blade would make it easier to identify. Added some legs underneath it to make it more obvious, that it is a table saw. I also added an indication when to use the table saw vs. the thicknesseser for step 3. --Patrick (talk) 22:05, 22 October 2020 (CEST)

Workpiece Sides in Panel 3

One more thought ;-) The orientation of the workpiece in panel 3 might be a bit confusing, as the rectangular board is depicted lying flat although it would have to be fed through the planer on its narrow edge. I get that it is drawn this way as that is how it goes over the table saw, but maybe we could label side 3 in the small cross-sections on the left? i.e. the top picture (square, to be planed) would have the "3" at the top while the bottom picture would have it on the left side. Does that make sense? --Lukas (talk) 00:18, 23 October 2020 (CEST)
