You can find air pretty much anywhere in the space where there is no solid object or where it hasn't been removed with the vacuum pump. Air is commonly used to fuel the makers metabolism and protect from decompression. Accelerated air can be used in order to transport heat from things (it only works with things warmer than the surrounding air (except the material is vaporized)). Air can for example be accelerated with fans (e.g. from old computers).
Or in pressurized form it can be used to accelerate other particles for example small glass beads in the Blast Cabinet.
