Overview

The Metabo TF 100 M is a compact spindle moulder (router table) designed for precision woodworking. It is intended for routing, profiling, grooving, chamfering, and edge finishing of solid wood and wood-based materials. The machine provides a stable work surface and can be equipped with a sliding table to improve the handling of larger workpieces.

Features

Safety

Always observe the following safety precautions:

  • Wear safety glasses.
  • Wear hearing protection.
  • Use an appropriate dust extraction system.
  • Ensure all guards are installed before operation.
  • Only use approved cutters in good condition.
  • Disconnect the machine from the power supply before changing tooling.
  • Never exceed the permitted cutter diameter or spindle speed.
  • Use push sticks or push blocks whenever appropriate.

Tool Diameter and Operating Speed

The appropriate spindle speed depends on the diameter and type of the cutting tool used. A reference table with the recommended operating speeds for different tool diameters is located on the rear side of the machine. Always select a spindle speed that matches the installed cutter and never exceed the maximum permissible speed specified by the tool manufacturer.

Limitations

  • Intended exclusively for woodworking.
  • Not suitable for machining metal or plastics unless specifically approved by the tooling manufacturer.
  • Large workpieces should be supported using roller stands.

Known Issues & Possible Workarounds

Dust extraction is insufficient

Ensure the extraction hose is properly connected and that the extraction system provides adequate airflow.

Tear-out on end grain

Use a backing board and sharp cutters to minimize tear-out.

Difficult handling of long workpieces

Use the sliding table together with roller supports.

Rough cutting results

Inspect the cutter for wear and replace or sharpen it if necessary.
