Hey I am Max. I have been interested in making stuff for quite some time now, but was mostly limited to 3D printers as a tool. I like to modify things and machines to better suit my needs, mainly 3D printers. What happens often that the printer is modified to the point that it ends up being a new printer.
3D Printers
I have had many 3d printers in my life time. The first was a Mendel90, which was one of the first good looking 3d printer kits back in 2013. After that I got a broken Tronxy P802 from eBay for 40€ including two rolls of ABS and fixed it within an afternoon.
Ender 3 CoreVz
Nowadays I still have an Ender 3 V2 frame, which has turned into a heavily modified machine with a fully custom all aluminium CoreXZ kinematic (similiar to the Voron Switchwire).
VzBot
I have been building a VzBot and contributing to the design a bit, mainly with aluminium skeletonized parts. This design style has become second nature to me and I use it everywhere were weight is of concern including my Ender 3.
My main contribution to the project is the y gantry bracket, which is now produced my Mellow in China and I had to purchase my own part lol.
CNC Machining
CNC machining is also one of my passions with a heavy focus on aluminium and especially extremely small parts that require small endmills in the 1-2mm range.
Stuff I make
The part I make on my CNC are small, in the range of a button on a shirt or even smaller. Tiny holes, difficult to hold, but difficult and challenging.
Lil Sgt Chonky
To be able to machine small parts I built a small PrintNC named Lil Sgt Chonky (PrintNC wiki).
To avoid noise getting on my nerves I built a soundproof enclosure and let the machine hang in it so the chips fall down.
I am really proud of my electronics, because it is the first time I spent significant effort on "trying to do it right" instead of the usual "jaja wird schon passen" attitude.
I go into detail about my CNC in a youtube video Youtube video were I go into detail.
