Gridfinity is a free and open source modular storage concept published by YouTuber Zach Freedman. launch video
It is based on a 42 × 42 mm grid that can turn any flat surface (e.g. a drawer bottom) into a solid foundation for custom 3D printed containers.

Drilling Table Drawers

Available Space
The main drawers on the drilling table (as of 2026-9) have the following inside dimensions:
- depth: 68.4 cm
- width: 33 cm
- height: 10.2 cm
In other words, they can be filled with up to 7x16 Gridfinity units at a height of max. 10 cm (including contents!)
Printed Parts
These (and perhaps more) elements are used in the drilling table drawers:
- Stackable Forstner Drill Bit Holder
- Slotfinity (modular tooling tray system for storing oblong parts)
- white dividers labeled with permanent marker
- 1U for twist drill bits up to approx. xxx mm
