(Redirected from Blind Rivets)
Rivets are fasteners that are set by deformation with a special tool. They form an irreversible bond but can be drilled out if you make a mistake.
|Synonyms:||pop rivets; DE: Blindniete, Poppniete|
|Suggested Tools:||rivet gun|
Blind rivets can be used where you can only access one side of your workpiece as they are "blind" on one side and are pulled from the other to become flat. When inserted into a properly sized hole, this forms a tight and relatively neat bond.
