We got a DeWalt DW411 palm sander (Faustschleifer) without a dust bag. A shop vac adapter should be made before using it inside!
Besides the dust issue, be aware that...
* there is no protection against accidental start (the button will stay at "1" when the sander is unplugged while running)
* holding the sander near its base gives control for details, but also shakes up your hand a lot more which quickly becomes tiring
Since we have multiple sheet sanders at the moment, this one is kept in storage as a backup but may be borrowed for private use over short periods of time - ask inventory-manager if you're interested!

Similar (More or Less): eccentric and other power sanders

Sheet sanders have a square orbiting pad that lets you reach into corners and remove a similar amount of material as eccentric sanders. Because they lack the additional turning motion though, they are more prone to leaving sanding marks on your workpiece if you're not careful.

The Bosch PSS 250 AE can be used with hook-and-loop sandpaper strips, but regular ones can also be clamped in.

It has a "microfilter" that reduces airborne dust, but you should ideally use a shop vac (will fit in combination with the rubber adapter in the sander's case) and/or go outside and it does not hurt to still protect yourself with a dust mask. The sandpaper should have the appropriate holes for dust extraction to work, of course!

The SKIL 7210 is a "multi" sander that can also be equipped with a delta sander-like tip - unfortunately, that part is not included with the one we have.

This sander can only be used outside and with a dust mask at the moment, its bag only traps the relatively large dust particles! Perhaps this could be improved with a custom shop vac adapter.
