For my Voron build I needed to use heat-set inserts. There exist special brass tips but I couldn't find any that fit the style of tip used on my soldering iron so I decided to make my own on the lathe. I found some left over M8 threaded rod out of brass which is great because it conducts heat and can be machined easily after the threads are gone.
