Topics

Here's the list so far - please don't hesitate to add more! If you won't be able to attend, you can add your comments here or in the discussion to take part anyway :-)

Project Presentations

Let's take up to 2 × 20 minutes before each plenum to show others what we're working on! If you are interested in talking about your projects, please announce it here and/or via the Mailing List:

  • Erik will tell something about the Ikea-Haken-Projekt with his son, and his first experience with micropython
    • The Ikea-Haken broke easily and are not available anymore, therefore Erik 3D-printed them.
      • They are designed with OpenSCAD and printed in PETG (stronger than PLA)
    • Erik showed some color-changing filament he bought for his school.
    • Micropython on an Adafruit Trinket M0
  • <please add your idea(s)!>

Recap of the last plenum

  • Repair Café: if they decide to host an event in the limited space we can open up for it (basically only the common room) we are looking at a date in October - Lukas will stay on it

Collaboration possibilities

Bahnstadtfest

The Bahnstadtfest is happening next Weekend (July 20th). We still need people to volunteer for the setup in the morning as well as for our stand during the day. Please ask around who will be available. We also need some further projects to show.

euVENTION Hackathon Support

As announced over the Makers list: The CoMakingSpace will be supporting the euVENTION Summer School's Hackathon on Saturday, July 27. This is a great opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a Hackathon and also help to raise awareness of the CoMakingSpace.

Patrick and Ciaran will help support the Hackathon participants with developing prototypes for their project challenges. We will have an array of Arduino, Raspberry PI and other electronic kits as well as 3D Printers to help with the rapid prototyping. Afterwards, the kits will be available for the CoMakingSpace to use for other events, seminars or projects.

If there is anyone interested in joining the fun, as a supplemental volunteer, please contact Ciaran directly to discuss the details.

Note: Our 3D Printer farm comes from supporting this same event two years ago. Great that the farm can return to it's roots for a Hackathon holiday before coming back to its home here at the CoMakingSpace.
