Synonyms: pop rivets; DE: Blindniete, Poppniete
Suggested Tools: rivet gun
Contains: usually aluminum

Blind rivets can be used where you can only access one side of your workpiece as they are "blind" on one side and are pulled from the other to become flat. When inserted into a properly sized hole, this forms a tight and relatively neat bond.

Some standard (aluminum) blind rivets:

  • 3.2 × 8 mm (for 2-4 mm sheets)
  • 4.0 × 10 mm
  • 4.0 × 14 mm
  • 4.8 × 12 mm
