This category contains instructions, software and file formats to get you started with computer assisted design (CAD). Designs can be 2D, e.g. patterns and other artwork, or (more often) 3D to include structural information as well.
Before you are ready to use any of these techniques, it's helpful to do a simple pencil-and-paper sketch and take measurements of the parts your new piece should fit to!
